Seriously Let Down by Glow-worm

Good evening: I and my other half, CORGI Guy, have just spent the entire day waiting for a Glow-worm ( very poor) service engineer to attend to a defect on our recently installed (by Corgi Guy) Glow-worm Flexicom CX boiler. CG attended an installers' trouble -shooting course last week at Glow-worm and discovered that the Flexicom CX has a problem with 'hard ignition' therefore explaining why the boiler occasionally sounded like a car backfiring:eek: .
Glow-worm offers a 2 year warranty but trying to get through on the service line was a joke. When CG finally got through the customer (poor service) rep claimed that another rep had called us at 2 pm today (appointment was booked for 10:30 -12:30) and left a message...claimed they also tried to call his/my father's address....neat trick that would be as mine died in 1971 and CG's in 1989! The end results are :1. that age old line 'we're waiting for the part and can't book you in at the moment'. 2. CG won't be installing Glow-worm products if this is what his customers should expect from the manufacturer's service team.
Sorry for the venting but it just goes to show that everybody gets let down at some point...first rogue customers for us, now rogue boiler manufacturers:rolleyes:

  • Good morning: It is Christmas tomorrow and we are still waiting for Glow-worm to honour the 2 year guarantee on our Flexicom boiler. We're off on holiday now so it looks as if 2007 will be with us before this unacceptable situation is resolved...Corgi Guy. my OH, will not be installing Glow-worm boilers in the future..Worcester Bosch will probably get his custom next year!
