Egg loan sold to Britannica Recoveries SARL

I'm a little concerned with Moorgate's handling of my Egg loan. Egg wrote to me in June with the details of my final 3 payments, the final one being due yesterday. The amount was supposed to be a little lower than the previous payments but Moorgate have taken the same amount as previous months! Which makes me wonder whether they even know my loan is now repaid... I will see what they have to say for themselves when I phone them tomorrow (0845!) since they have no online servicing.

Just an update for those interested... called Moorgate today who confirmed my loan was now paid off. Somewhat surprisingly though they said that my account was now in credit by £170 (a little less that the normal monthly payment) so they will refund me by cheque. I thought loan agreements were calculated with fixed payments to avoid things like this :think:

Have to say the agent on the phone was one of the most pleasant and helpful people I have ever spoken to at a financial institution!

After my year ended, I contacted Moorgate who told me that my file had been passed to Arden Credit Management. No surprise that Egg had not advised them of my year agreed payment break, and gave my old address rather than my new address.

Expected an argument from Arden who advised me that no interest has been added, nor will be added at this stage, and can I afford £1 a month for the next 3 months? Happy isnt the word I was looking for, but it will certainly do.

Does anyone else have issues phoning these eejits?? Twice been on hold for 20 mins with no answer, no messages saying 'your call is important to us'... nothing.

I have had no issue getting replies to letters so maybe try that?
Never felt like talking to them.

I won a claim From egg in which I was given 2500 roughly I got a cheque of 1200 and the rest paid the outstanding balance of the loan. I never heard anything until I got a phone all from Moore gate telling I was due them money as they took over my loan. As far as I was aware it had been paid the now say I am due 3400 roughly due to loan not being paid for over 8months. I let them know about the ppi but there is no record of it on my account!

Am stuck as I can't find the letter about receiving the ppi as it was so long ago anyone give me advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!

If you write to Egg, they will just forward to Moorgate... Back to where you are.

Send moorgate a complaint, signed for, describing what you said above. They have to investigate and reply within 8 weeks or off to the FOS you go.

We have a letter fom egg regarding PPI , we signed it made the complaint and they sent another letter saying that we were owed money £3000 that was in sept but nothing since help!
