Proof of No Claim Bonus
Policy with Dialdirect expired and I have a better quote elsewhere. Dialdirect charged me £10 for a proof of no claims letter, which states everything about the NCB except its duration and will not provide me with one which states this.
Does anyone know if insurers are legally obliged to provide proof of NCB?
And, are they allowed to charge?

these cheap internet companies that hide behind wires tend to charge for things like this
sometimes your new insurer will ring them on your behalf if they think you are a valued customer
no idea in your case but ive learnt my lesson with a cheaper motor trades policy last year and the hassle i had afterwards with simple procedures0 -
They are obliged to provide you with proof of no claims, although I've never heard of an Insurer charging for it before.
Did your current Insurer send you some renewal documents? Usually about a month before the policy is due telling you what the new premium will be etc.
If so then there "should" be something included which states your ncb entitlement. That is all the proof you need.0
