Hanging felt clouds from the ceiling

I've made some stuffed felt clouds to hang from the ceiling of my babys room. The idea is to use a very thin fishing line to hang them but I'm not sure how to attach them to the ceiling. I'm not keen on putting drawing pins etc in the ceiling but whatever I use does need to be secure as I wouldn't want them falling down.

Any suggestions?

At christmas we bought some little sticky pads with hooks on to hang our garlands across the ceiling - would something like that work?

Might be slightly unsightly but what about using them some screw in hooks normally used for net curtains

What about getting some sticky velcro pads if the clouds are not to heavy - Tie the fishing line around a closed staple or bended paperclip then insert the closed staple / clip between the velcro pads.
