the family cards are worth getting, you get free tea & coffee during the week and i've seen over £100 of bigger items, less of the smaller ones
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Hi i am looking to buy a wardrobe two small bed side tables and a folding table. I picked up a family card when i was last in store used it when i was buying some chairs but have yet to fill in the application. Noticed somebody selling a credit note for £380 on ebay think i might have a bid on it.
  • Hi
I'm gong to Ikea to buy a bed for my DD and it's gonna cost £300:eek:
Luckily my mum said she'd pay for it but if anyone knows a discount code or a cashback site I'll do it online because I'm gonna have to pay for delivery anyway even though it's 5 mins from my house.
    Thanking you in advance.

It's not quick, but if you sign up for Ikea's family card they fairly randomly send you vouchers - last month I had a £10 off a £60 spend, a free blue bag and free meal in the restaurant.

    More info at: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DisplayPage?layout=displayHome&storeId=7&langId=-20&catalogId=11001

Sadly it won't help with your bed expense though!

try a handyman/white van man. Sometimes they advertise in the yellow pages or your local papar, not sure how legit most of them are but don't think they would be charging £60 for delivery! some even advertise on the net as proper companies, try google?
  • Hi, you won't get free delivery from Ikea I'm afraid and I agree their rates are riddiculous! Like the person above says, hire a handy man or just hire a van yourself and drive to the nearest one. Thats what we did when we wanted a load of stuff. We actually live approx 2 miles from the nearest Ikea distribution centre warehouse and they still wanted to charge us a stupid price for delivery!
