Don't get me wrong, I think this solves a problem that doesn't actually exist as well but for £1.99 you get 250ml of soap and 4 AA batteries.

Please don't do this - that is a huge waste. Some people might actually want this product, not for it's component parts. What you going to do with the rest, throw it away?

If you want batteries and soap, buy batteries and soap.

I have one of these dispensers - they are great IMHO.

They dispense just enough soap and keep going right to the end of the bottle. very easy to use just wave your hand under the nozzle.

Errr I can buy what I like! The refills are more expensive than the entire unit plus there's the batteries but you're saying that I should leave the cheaper MSE option on the shelf for someone else to buy?

Buy the unit, and when the refil is empty, don't buy the expensive replacements - you can get the top off and fill it with a cheaper brand. I've done this loads of times, and it works a treat.

I paid £9.99 when it first come out, and it's been worth every penny, so don't listen to those people who mock. They are perfect for the kitchen when you've been handling raw meats etc.

Isn't that the way with a lot of these "chemical" items. We have drawers full of expired plug in air fresheners because the refills actually cost more than the initial unit.

They must make a fortune - the price they charge is probably more than gold.

Note to self - must buy some shares in these companies!!

Going to give this a try - thanks very much to the OP. I take it when you buy a unit it is already filled with the soap or liquid or whatever else is supposed to be in there? Or do you have to buy that seperately?

The pack we had was one dispenser and two soap packs
  • Just been to tesco. They had loads of units. Would not accept the coupon as it didn't say smart coupon on it.

Please let us know if other shops are accepting it.
