I have found a secret that MFI likes to keep close to its chest. Over at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Dudley (West Midlands) there is an MFI Clearance Centre right next door to the normal MFI store. The clearance centre is fantastic and sells customer returns and discontinued lines. On Sunday I visited the store and purchased a 3 seater leather sofa (a discontinued line - also I did check it for tears too) that had been knocked down from its already discounted prices of £280 and £180 for £175! They can deliver and will charge £30 for same day delivery (you have to pay the driver when he has delivered the stuff). The clearance centre sells wardrobes, chests of drawers, desks, kitchens, beds and appliances at silly prices. Admittedly the chests of drawers may have handles missing but handles can be picked up quite cheaply anyway. Keep a look out as there may be more MFI Clearance Centres dotted around the country.
