Viewing movie recordings on a camcorder

I have a camcorder which records on to mini DV tape, but I am thinking of buying an HD camcorder which records on to SD cards. I have been told that if such a camcorder is plugged into a TV for viewing recordings, you can only view one clip at a time, and then you have to select the next one for viewing etc. I'd really like to be able to watch them all one after the other automatically, as I can do from tape. Is this possible with SD cards?

I not sure about the single clip thing, I would of thought that the camcorder would be capable of showing them in sequence.
I suggest you download the user manual for the camcorder you are thinking of buying to check it out.
You could always download the clips to your PC to edit and make them into a movie.
PS Any success with Penny yet? That gum you like is coming back in style.0
