HSBC unauthorised overdraft - HELP!

Help!!

Just realised my account has been sat overdrawn since the 20th June, three amounts, -£30, then another to take it to -£40, then another to take it to -£51! The first time in my entire life, and all because I paid for (3) things on my incorrect card.

D'oh!

I've tried having a look at the HSBC T&Cs but they're not especially clear, so I rung the helpdesk who've told me the charge will be £75 :( not very happy, but just want to know how much it will be - can anyone help me decipher them?

Yes, my understanding is that they charge £25 for every transaction that either bring the account into un-authorizated overdraft or that is made on an account already in that position.
    £25 times 3 operations = £75.

As has been said, I also think its £25 every day you do an additional transaction.. hence £75.

However, HSBC also have a 'Fair Fees Policy' which sounds as if it might apply here reducing the fees:
    • We won't charge an arrangement fee if we haven't agreed to an overdraft request from you within the last six months
    • We won't charge you more in arrangement fees than the overdraft requested (e.g. a £15 overdraft will not cost you say, £50)
    • We won't charge you an arrangement fee for an overdraft request of £10 or less
    • We won't charge you additional fees if it's the overdraft fees (or interest) that have taken you overdrawn, or further overdrawn
    • We will not charge you more than one arrangement fee a day
    • We won't charge you an arrangement fee for informal requests if your account is credited with covering funds by the end of the same day
So its worth checking that they apply it properly.
