hdmi cable hd-dvd recorder cable to led tv

can someone advise please, i need a hdmi cable for my Sony HD-DVD recorder sony rdr-hxd995 to Sony led tv klv 32ex600. Both end looks different size. Not sure which one i need to buy.

Do i need to have 2 cables if i give connection from set-top box to recorder and then to tv.

Yes you'll need a cable from set top box to recorder, then recorder to TV. Does the recorder have an HDMI IN and OUT? There are different sizes of HDMI plugs, but the smaller ones are only really used in portable gadgets like cameras and phones - are you sure they're not the same size, and are you sure they're HDMI?
Buy any old HDMI cable you like, don't spend a load of money at the start. £1-£2 will do.

It not a HD-DVD recorder it's a SD HDD-DVD recorder so apart from upscaling you could just use a Scart lead.
