hi all, you know how mad my cats are so here goes another.
tinks, my white and tab, is kind of like a dog in a sesne that she will follow me everywhere, when i lived for a period at my mum with felix (my turk van who passed away this year) she used to follow me down my mums to visit felix now again, have a bit of grub wind felix up then id take her home, whe used to follow me there whenever i went to my mums anyway if couldnt pursuade her to stay in the house, mum dont live farr away but its a fair distance for a cat out of its comfort zone. she followed me down there yesterday looked around for felix then sat and watched the tennis for a hour while i waited for my dad to come home from work.
my mum just dropped tinks home again after going down on her own this morning, she waited for mum to open the door woundered in had five looking around then she calmly fell asleep on the sofa at mums apparently and was content on staying, so mum left her be untill my dad came home who's a bit of a humbug with animals, likes them but not owning them. mum knew i was busy today so didnt ring to say she was there, and dropped her off when she headed off shopping.
so there you have it, i think my cat has had a change of feelings and wants to adopt my mum. i know this wont be a one off, the cat seems set on travelling there so a repeat of this situ is going to happen.

You have shown her the way to a nice friendly, other cat free home. If she's not so keen on your other cats (and I'm only guessing you have more from you saying you have mad cats-plural) and is welcomed at your mums, of course she going to go there, cats are notorious for it. It's nothing you have done to upset her I'm sure, it's just in their nature.
I'm not sure what you can do to stop her going back, other than shutting her in all the time. You could ask your mum not to let her in, but then you might have the problem of her wandering round an unfamiliar neighbourhood, getting distressed and possibly lost. You also have the risk of her being run over if she has to travel along any busier roads to get there.
Could your parents not take her on properly? I know you said your dad doesn't really like pets, but if you still contributed to her food bills etc, might he be more amenable? It would cut down the risk of her getting into trouble getting herself there all the time. Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0 -
hi Atrix hun! Tinks is welcome, I thought she was looking for you or Felix - she searched every inch of the house! then stood by the fridge yowling. I didnt feed her then, just informed her you werent there and invited her to go home! she wasnt having none of it! stalked off into the living room and made herself comfy in MY corner of the sofa! napped for an hour or so then went into kitchen and indicated she wanted water. so i got her a bowl of water - and fed her (sorry hun, but she looked so hopefully at the fridge - I guess she wanted some boiled bacon like she had yesterday). anyway, she then settled down to watch tennis with me! your dad came in and sneaked her some more bacon (I heard the fridge door). then we were busy laying new kitchen floor and Tinks was quietly snoozing and watching tennis so we left her there. we got back to your house and Tinks fairly flew out the car!!!!!!!!!! and into the house when L opened the door!
I dont think she wanted to relocate -I think she just thought you may be down here, and if not, then a few hours peace and quiet and some tennis to watch!
BUT - we are NOT Tinks' Taxi Service!!! tell her that next time she walks home! lmao!
er - I couldnt NOT let her in - That yowl of hers could wake the dead!!!! the neighbours would either complain or report me to RSPCA!0 -
