Not sure if it's only at selected stores, but our local Curry's has a Flavel built-in electric oven/gas hob combo in stainless steel at £180. They are still selling the cooker on it's own at £270. Doesn't seem to be available on-line. I snapped one up as I've been after a new oven/hob for ages.

Comet do some Great Deals on Appliance Package Deals, but they hardly promote them well & staff, rarely have full details. You've got to read the tiny print & SKU codes on the Appliance price tickets in-store on display models.
I recently bought a Stainless Steel Oven, Gas Hob & a matching Canopy extractor all for the princely sum of 259.00, but your find is even better
If it helps, Ive tried to get some of these comet package deals online but have never had any success. Easiest way is to buy in store & if you moan a little about the hassle you had with online ordering they may even give you Free delivery, like they did me saving 19.99.0 -
Last month I made the mistake of using their online service. I used the online service as my nearest Comet was 20 miles away and the hob I wanted was in stock with Comet in store and online, the other retailers I'd been to had to order them. I booked an all day delivery and it didn't turn up. When I rang them up and asked why, they couldn't tell me, as the couriers they use don't carry mobiles. When I then politely asked for a refund of the delivery charge the girl put the phone down on me! After several phone calls and many broken promises the hob did eventually arrive 3 days later. Even though I'd been told it would arrive on every day in between. Ironically the day it did arrive was the only day they said it wasn't!
Moral of the story DO NOT buy online from them!Waddle you do eh?0 -
I am moving house next week and this sounds like just what I need.....

Thanks in advanceJust because you used to be you think everybody else is, don't you?0 -

Sorry it's in Curry's - perhaps a mod could edit the title for me. The shops are next to each other and I always get them mixed up. I was in a rush to do my first bargain post.
It's a FLAVEL DGHS6X BI Elec S/Oven + Gas Hob Hope this link works http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0349787980.1109779624@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdladddmkjlkdjcflgceggdhhmdgmj.0&category_oid=-11081&sku=539530&page=Product&fm=1&sm=2&tm=5
They're also selling the hood separately and it's £80.0 -
Just bought the last in in Currys Scarborough. The reason why its cheap is that its the end of the line. Managed to get the thing in the car (what a job) only to find after unpacking it that the oven door handle is broken.
They have one on display so hopefully I can get a replacement handle.
EDIT rang Currys up and picking up the handle from the one on display.

Hi,
Just wanted to say Shrek that I'm in Scarborough and I never see fellow Scarborians on any forums.
I usually do well when MSE'ers spot bargains with it being a small town!.Looks like I've got competition ! ;.]0 -
Oh dear not another fellow mser in my home town
I leave you with the bargains in the shops as I mainly shop in the net
I have been wondering all day about this bargain whether to get it or not so I thought, why not ring Currys first to check. Only two days ago we were looking at a similar one in B&Q for £299.
Wife is pleased as our last oven (11 years old) has been playing up for years and sometimes have a power cut as it occasional short circuits.sare wrote:Hi,

Zeke, it wasnt striaghtforward getting my discount, as when the comet guy kept putting the codes into their system to get the voucher deal price it would only come with the full price, so I insisted he manually overrode these. Ive checked my invoice & the model codes needed to get the package were;
INDE FM20k ST/ST (For the Oven)
CHIM60A ST (For the s/steel xtractor)
INDE P640A IX ST (For the Gas Hob)
The Total was 259.97
I think sometimes you may even find better deals, you have to examine the the sales display ticket with the 'SKU' codes on their cheaper appliances to see if they are doing a bundle deal, then insist they honour it !
Good luck0
