Coop Energy? £50 Direct Discount.
I'm being stuffed by SP on OS10 as a Leckie only low user. +30 to 40%
It's not a level playing field out there right now and SP and other companies are hoovering everyone up onto fixed tariffs with little or no real savings to be made, just peace of mind for 12-18 months. I therfore dont want to get sucked into locking... especially with SP mainly out of sheer principle.
I'm considering a possible short term switch to The Coop and get £50 [STRIKE]cashback[/STRIKE] discount on top. Hopefully SP wont enforce their exit penalty but I got £42 Topcashback for moving to them 12 months ago so it'll wash it's face if I do.
Your expected annual usage is 3,000 kWhs which will cost £336.00 per year (including VAT) from Co-operative Energy.
You can save up to £93.00 a year with us.
From 13th June to 22nd July 2011, we are offering a joining offer of £50.00#.
This calculation also excludes the benefit of points which you earn as a Co-operative member. These could be worth approximately £10.00* at your level of spend.
If the Coop raise their prices, as I'm sure they will, I can do another comparison when hopefully everyone else has also upped their prices. I beleive there isn't an exit penalty with the Coop.
Can anyone see any obvious flaws that I'm missing?
Thanks.

If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.
If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.

Only thing to note is that Coop is not £50 cash back, it's £50 off your first bill.0

That's as good as cash in the bank to me. That'sd also why I put "Direct" cashback. At least there's no danger of it not tracking like Quidco or TCB.
I've changed the title etc to £50 discount now.If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0
