Gumtree....?

Not sure if in the right section, feel free to move it if not.

I joined Gumtree foolishly, but it is utter tosh in my opinion. I have searched the site, searched the forums and there doesn't seem to be a way of deleting my account. I have sent Contact Us forms twice now asking the same question and had no reply. I even tried Googling it and no responses that help.

Does anyone know how to close a Gumtree Account please?

Does anyone know a proper e-mail address for them other than a site base webform? Or a head office address.

I am sure under the Data Protection rules you cannot keep accounts open if a customer want them closed.....?

Any help appreciated.

Could you edit the details to something nonsensical if you're concerned about them having your details?
I don't know how to cancel the account or how to contact them other than the details on the site.

Not sure why you need to close your account, just dont use it? What data protection do you need? I've found Gumtree to be great for selling, especially large items such as furniture.

I use Brighton Gumtree and have never had a problem. I sometimes go a year with out using it and it's always been fine, what is your particular issue?

Gumtree Leeds is full of the usual crooks but you get them anywhere.

I find it great to shift stuff that you don't need but is to big to send to Ebay.
