Looked at the thread gilly....find it amazing that someone with vast quantities of posts (and an anti troll sig) can come back with such an ill informed and mean post as this...

Best stay here with the good guys!

gillypkk, as others have said, ignore them. People seem to think that just because they are essentially anonymous that its okay to be a judgemental A-hole.. something tells me they wouldn't be quite so bold/rude if it was too your face.
The people on the Old Style board are equally as lovely as here. Pop over there and have a look.

    thanks everyone!!

nothing i said warranted the attack i first got and considering i stated that the deal i got was with my existing supplier it was more than obvious they know i am a declared BR so there really was no need for that post was there?

might pop in past the old style board too. my youngest is serioulsy allergic to alot of foods so i might get ideas for recipes etc for him from there as his food is crazily expensive!!!!

someone is trying to be clever and quoting me the terms and conditions of my current supplier part fo which says somthing about pre-payment meters but its taken out of context lol. asked me if they are wrong. in a word - YES! considering what they have just offered me and i am now in contact with goes against what they have linked in hahahaha.

    Hi gillypkk,
It is shocking how people think it's ok to be like that towards BR's. Every other group in society has protection but you can say what you want about a BR. No wonder we don't like people to know yet they publish our names and addresses in the papers and online for everyone to see forever, and for free!!, so that any bigot can be horrible to us.
I know people, especially their children that have suffered bullying because of it, it's time something was done to end the persecution and stigma.

That's a shame. I don't believe in sugar coating things, but there's no need to be rude and aggressive.

It's true that lots of people are braver online than in person. Years ago my Mum was involved in a village forum and basically got bullied online by people who wouldn't have said boo to her in person. Made me absolutely furious. So glad she moved somewhere nicer, even the forum is friendlier.

Well I've just ventured onto another area on the site. They'd better be nice to me or I'll bally well cry....
  • I've had a terrible time on here...been called a liar, a troll etc. when all I wanted was a bit of advice from people who've been in my situation...yes it's had me in tears and has made things worse...I'm seriously depressed anyway..I dont see the point of being nasty...obviously a lot of people enjoy the feeling of superiority that they get from knowing that someone somewhere else in the country is reduced to tears and in the depths of despair after reading their cruel postings...Hope things work better for you, a lot of people on here can be really kind...so hang on in there...xx

i know some people on here seem to have a false sense of superiority coz they are no longer in debt and look down on those of us who are stood where they once were. and these people are the ones with the higest posts so should know better.

it wasnt aimed at anyone in particular and definately not at you phil!

it was a general overview ive had of the site of those who are the first ones to jump on people and be nasty and judgemental are the ones with the higher post counts and obviously know how this site is meant to run yet they seems to pick and chose when to follow the rules.

i dont know why you thought this was aimed at you but it certainly wasnt at all!
