Shocked

is this area of the forum the only area where people are not downright rude and insulting and judgemental?!

i mean honestly ive seen some awful treatment of people in some sections of the forum. i just got insulted on the utilities board after posting about setting myself a challenge to get my gas and leccy bills reduced in the 40 mins i had before i needed to pick my kids up.

its really got to me tbh coz im havng a bad day. sat here in tears now actually.

someone who doesnt know me and doesnt know my situation feels they have the right to judge me? so angry its unreal.

Its best not to venture anywhere else on these boards until you have gone through and gotten over, your particular circumstances. And only then when you have developed a thick skin.

I have an AE (Alter-Ego) which I drag out when I want to ask questions in places such as the benefits board etc. and wont use my own username. And I think my skin is pretty thick!

Did you sort out the gas/electric??

Try not to take it too hard, some peeps who come on here (not necessarily this forum) are complete !!!!!! and love nothing more than trying to upset/anger people, they seem to get a kick out of it. As you say they do not know you so just tell them where to go, they are quite sad people really:)

yeah i did. i got a slightly better deal and also foundout i qualify for a rebate after the winter is over so i could get my DD payments down even lower.

she originally wanted my payments to be almost £90 a month combined but ive no idea where they came from as i used the same figures she had and so did another memeber of staff and we both got alot lower figures and with my rebate due i managed to get my DD down to £60 a month and that should mean i end up in credit over the summer which will cover the winter bills and i dont owe them any money!!

was really proud of that too. now im just angry. the guy who posted only has 25 posts and im assuming he is a troll who has come back under a new alias.

on the up side i helped out a friend the other day who is just split from her boyfriend and in the process of moving back to the uk from abroad and ive helped her sort out her benefits etc and helping her look for a job and childcare so she is treating me to a chinese takeaway tonight and im supplying the wine as i already have some in the house i stocked up on last time it was on offer lol.

Thats excellent and the right ethos in this board where it is all about taking what you learn and helping others with it

The people on the Old Style board are equally as lovely as here. Pop over there and have a look.

Looked at the thread gilly....find it amazing that someone with vast quantities of posts (and an anti troll sig) can come back with such an ill informed and mean post as this...

I hate to bear bad news, but expect the supplier round shortly with a pair of PPMs, and wave goodbye to any deal you arranged.

Did you inform them you are a registered bankrupt?
Do you really expect to continue to get credit as a recently declared bankrupt?

Best stay here with the good guys!

gillypkk, as others have said, ignore them. People seem to think that just because they are essentially anonymous that its okay to be a judgemental A-hole.. something tells me they wouldn't be quite so bold/rude if it was too your face.
