Congrats, but it wasn't really an experiment was it?

You mean to tell me that someone selling a property in a reasonable part of London/SE for a price near what they asked for isn't exciting?

You're right, I never got this experiment.

Well, it's no wonder kids don't bother learning a trade or working hard any more when one can simply make easy cash selling property in the great property ponzi scheme. Good for you but not good for the country or the economy in the long run.

Good for you Pete! Nice areas like Wimbldedon will always be in demand.

As for twit1234's view of the property market - this is from the same guy who is still waiting for a 50% fall from peak by Christmas 2009.

    You've gotta laugh!

I would have held out for asking price if I were you.

We were tempted. But with most of London in flames (if you believe the BBC...) then we felt we should compromise!

    ;)

DRC Don't be a plonker, only a couple of years or so back it looked as if property was about to collapse and we wouldn't have made a penny or even lost out - would that have been ok though? You should note that this flat wasn't a BTL - we used to live there but had worked hard enough to be able to afford to move without selling.

Thanks for the good wishes and sorry to those bored by my experimental dabble in the sales market. There were other posts to view...
Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger
