in Credit cards
Hi All,
I wonder if you could give me a bit of advice. I've got 2 credit cards which I obtained whilst living with my parents. I've always tended to pay them in full each month. I've recently moved in with my boyfriend and we've been living together for just over 6 months. Last month I applied for an M&S card while they had a really good offer on 0% purchases, however, I was rejected. I know I have a good credit score, and assume it was because I have been in my house for such a short time. However, I've now got a bit of a balance on one of my cards and want to do a balance transfer to avoid paying interest (as I cant afford to pay it all off at once) but I'm nervous about applying for another card.
Can anybody offer any advice?
Ruth

Are you on the electoral roll at new house? how recently? have you had a copy of your credit files since to check its correctly showing on your credit file? have you changed all your cards/bank accounts etc to be correctly registered at the new address?
Does one of the cards have no balance? what card issuer is it from? maybe see if they'll offer you an existing customer 0% deal on that card.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
