Warning: eBay game Global Instant Win mystery payment

I checked my bank account today and noticed that a penny had been deducted via my PayPal account by PAYPAL *EBAYGAMEGLO.This meant nothing to me, so I logged into PayPal to see what on earth it was. The payment was for eBay game Global Instant Win.
I don't remember signing up, so I clicked on Details on the payment in PayPal to look into it further and it stated that the email address for the transaction was paypal@globalinstantwin.com with the subject You have sent £0.01 GBP to eBay game Global Instant Win with PayPal. It appeared to be a pre-approved payment, so I checked this and I was subscribed to the following:
Name:eBay game Global Instant Win (The recipient of this subscription is Non-US - Unverified)
Email:paypal@globalinstantwin.com
Subscription Date:15 Jun 2006 Time:22:38:28 BST
Status:(NOW CANCELLED)
Date of Cancellation:23 Jun 2011
Subscription Terms:Free for the first 5 years
Then £0.01 GBP for each 5 years, for 2 instalments
Business Contact Information
Email:paypal@globalinstantwin.com
Item Name:FREE Global Instant Win Card/s
Item Number:Card/s are free of charge () and you can cancel your subscription at any time
Postal Address:No Address Provided
As I don't know what this game is and I don't even know if it's still going, I swiftly unsubscribed. I know it's only a penny, but eBay must be making a mint from all these forgotten subscriptions!
I found a thread in the eBay community forums complaining about the same issue and another thread on MSE from 5 years ago discussing playing the game, so it looks like the competition was legit (sorry, I would post links but the site won't let me as I am considered a new user...).
