diamond core drill - quality

Hi all

I need a 91mm diamond tip core drill, to install some patio lights into sandstone flags.

It seems I can buy one for the price of hiring, but I have no experience of brands like Blue Spot.

Does anyone have experience of this or alternative brands?

Hire the bit and whilst you are about it hire the proper core drill (with a clutch) as well. You won't be able to use the bit in a bog standard B&D drill or similar as they don't have a clutch. Using a core bit in a clutchless drill is dangerous. If it snags in the material you are drilling (and it will) you can oh so easily break your wrist or your arm.

I think I should have clarified that it is my electrician who will be doing the work. He has other sizes but not the 91mm we need.

Let him provide it then. If he's being pad to do a job he should own the correct tools to do it and if he doesn't then he can go out and hire or buy as the fancy takes him. If his argument is "I won't need to use it again" then what use will you find for it afterwards?
