Hi guys and gals
Im looking at tiling my kitchen floor is there such a thing a insulating floor plasterboard?. Im looking to place the boarding over an existing concrete floor with the hope that it will level the floor and also give a good surface on which to tile.
Thanks in advance

Plasterboard on the floor? Nah! Use an SLC to level the floor then tile onto that.

OK the plan is as follows ;
Level existing floor with self levelling compound
Next
I need to raise the floor by approx 15mm what would be the best surface to tile on giving a good surface for the tiles to adhere and also provide some form of insulation against the cold concrete.
Hope this makes some sense

Ahhh - trying to keep it a secret and fool everyone huh? Options:
1. SLC alone then tile but a tad on the expensive side or;
2. Sand/cement screed (strong mix) then SLC (perhaps), then tile or;
3. SLC then 10mm Marmox Board fixed down with SPF tile addy then tile.
Option 3 will provide a small degree of insulation.
