Dishwasher Problem

Hi, my dishwasher has stopped drying the items at the end of a cycle. It's a Whirlpool ADG 7540, circa 8 years old.
Anyone shed some light on how serious an issue this might be or if there is an easy fix. Should i pay to get someone out to look at it?
Thank You
Patrick

Sounds to me like the heating element may have gone - to be honest you may be better off just getting a new dishwasher once replacement parts and labour fees/callout charges are taken into account. (i'm assuming you don't have some sort of super warranty on it)
Not sure if this is the right part but just as an indicator a spare would be around £30-50 not including installation and you can pick up a new machine for £150... economy may favour the new machine given the age of your current one.

Thanks for that, exactly what i was thinking, that repairing it might be as costly as a new machine.
Thank you
