Whats the deal?

Londoners partying the night away on New Years Eve this year will be able to make use of the free transport being offered on the night. The Tube, Docklands Light Railway, and Croydon Tramlink will run all night on New Years eve and will be free between 11.45pm and 4.30am. Nightbuses and 24 hour buses will run as usual and will also be free.

Plus Mr L is funding free travel on selected National Rail areas between midnight and 5am:
  • On services from Liverpool Street to Enfield Town and Shenfield
  • Southeastern services from Victoria to Orpington via Herne Hill; from Charing Cross to Dartford via Greenwich, Lewisham, Bexleyheath, Lewisham or Sidcup; and from Charing Cross to Beckenham Junction
  • Southern services from Victoria to East Croydon
  • First Capital Connect services from Blackfriars to Sutton
  • South West Trains services from Waterloo to Kingston via Richmond or Wimbledon
  • First Great Western services from Paddington to Slough
The congestion charge will also be suspended between Christmas and New Year.

For more info about service changes that night you can read this TFL leaflet.

Partygoers are advised to plan their journey's well in advance using TFL's Journey Planner.
