Cornwall Holiday Ideas

We are staying in Davidstow, Cornwall for a week early July with 2 kids 4 & 9. Looking for thoughts & ideas of whats best to do, I have thought of the following
Creally, Lands End then St Ives, Eden Project, Dairy World Farm, Tingel Castle, Newquay Zoo, Day at Padstow.
Open to other suggestions.

Parking in Padstow is a nightmare. You can get there on bikes along the camel trail. It's about 5 or 6 miles, very flat as it is effectively the old railway line. I don't know how far you are coming to bring bikes with you. You can rent them there easily enough, but that's not so moneysaving.
Polzeath and the beach there would be on my list and a walk along the coast path anywhere around there would be very rewarding. There are lots of great beaches around there.
There are two swimming pools in Newquay which have slides and are both really good. Newquay is quite good for children, a bit like Blackpool, quite bargain buckety touristy, but has more to do, like the zoo, that is aimed at children.
Check out the Cornish Guardian for vouchers. Flambards seems to be the place to go according to the children I know.0 -
If you are going to Lizard point I would definately take a small detour on the way to Kynance Cove. It is a small cove, with a beach, rock pools and a small cafe/shop. Lots to explore and beautiful scenery. If your kids enjoy the beach you could easily spend all day here on a nice day.
Also would recommend Pendennis Castle in Falmouth. Lots to see especially if you visit whilst there is an event on. When we went they had jousting on and it was brilliant.0 -
Personally i would opt out of Lands end, and head for somewhere like Trethorne https://www.trethorneleisure.com , Lands End is overly expensive for what it is, Flambards is good but you will find you have to split up to keep both a 9 yr old and a 4yr old happy, Creally is a winner with all age groups.

Hidden valley is quite a gem as not a lot of people know about it, Parking for Padstow isn't really a problem as there is a cheap park and ride at the top of the town, as it is very unlikely you will get parking in the town, Im sure you will have a great holiday wherever you find yourself, Have a great time
