Hi People,

Today is motivation day!

We are with Scottish Power, Electric only. They have advised if we leave before 01/08/2011 there is no exit fee. I have checked online and Ovo will save us £65 a year and will be capped 1yr also.

Is it worth while doing this option or choosing the fixed rate with Scottish Power till 2015/13 as per their advice which is £50 a year more according to energy helpline? Ovo I know little about and they cannot guarentee I will pay the amount I want each mth even though I know £90pm is sufficient, always has been. They said also Scottish Power are being investigated into and I have found there service to be poor to say the least!

I have saved £15 a mth with Virgin...just the leccy to do!!

I signed up with the fixed till 2013 with SP in January and they have now put up my D/D by 226%. Despite using 5518kWh of gas last year with SP they now say this year I will use 26512kWh of gas, thus increasing my D/D. They also flog you that plastic Unifi crap that if you leave them before the end of contract they charge £120 for! I'm stuck with them helping themselves to my bank account each month, don't you be.
