Ordered two last night for collection at Currys at Norwich Riverside. When going to collect today they had none. In the end agreed to get from Ipswich for me and deliver free. We will see.0

Many thanks Martin, I have always wanted one of these!
Thank you,

Is this the new type with removable plates that you can put in the dishwasher? I have one of the old ones, but as everyone is saying its a bit of a pain to clean so would prefer the one with removeable plates.

No it's not, unfortunately, but I'm really pleased with mine.nixie wrote:Is this the new type with removable plates that you can put in the dishwasher? I have one of the old ones, but as everyone is saying its a bit of a pain to clean so would prefer the one with removeable plates.0 -
Collected 2 from the Worthing store.
Seemed to have more in stock if this helps anyone?0 -
I got one today as our old one is on its last legs and you can't knock it for that price. We are not huge meat/fish eaters but it's adequate for us. If anyone has a "grilling colours" one version, it's wider than that but not as deep. It would definitely cook three chicken breasts as described but they would probably need to be placed diagonally. Cooked 2 salmon fillets on it tonight and was fine. The plates look different like the non stick stuff is thicker these days and the instructions do say to put a bit of oil on them each time you use it which might help with the cleaning. Anyhow, got a pack of the grill cleaners to go with it, which I might need to use once I try to cook red meat on it. The salmon came out beautifully, so I'm happy with my bargain!
If anyone is looking for one in the North West, the new branch in Chorley had quite a few in stock as of 2pm today.
I don't think that any of the Georges have removable plates? I know the Breville Health grill did.
kateabDefinitely NOT the blogger at Katie and the Kids, OK?0 -
thanks i got one today by sheer luck! i reserved one in chelmsford out of town store only to be called lunchtime by the store saying very sorry the reservation system had been playing up today and that they had none in stock. I was not happy i was shopping in the town centre in chelmsford at the time, he said our town centre store had 8 showing in stock, by luck i was next door in the phone shop and managed to grab the last one! so sometimes things are ment to be. Not impressed though with the way there online systems work, pretty poor for a large corporate company!0

I think these things are fab. I do a lot of cooking in my house. The meat never drys out or overcooks and takes a lot less time to cook than a conventional grill. When I bought this ages ago I thought it would be one of those use once and forget about kitchen appliance's that I keep buying. Glad to say I was wrong.

The new version has removeable plates that you can put in the dishwasher. http://www.georgeforemangrills.co.uk/range/grillerjunior.aspx. I guess that's why they're trying to get rid of all the old style ones but, for a tenner, where can you go wrong. I use mine all the time. I'll definitely try the tip of using a little bit of oil before cooking though to see whether that makes cleaning a bit easier.
