Yes I got mine a silver one for about £15 for husbands wedding anniversary on Sunday (no I dont get anything) from Currys Stafford. Test run last night on sausages that usualy spit everywhere and mess the grill up and start the smoke alarm off. Huge success!

  • If anyone is having trouble reserving one online then use https://www.yell.com to get the number free (its 0845 or 0870) and choose option one, my call was answered almost instantly by a very helpful lady who reserved one int he correct store no problem and was genuinely shocked at how cheap they were

I reserved one went to the store and saw it and didn't bother - they are tiny...I honestly think you'd be hard pushed to cook two of anything of a half decent size - be warned.

    ...probably just greedy!

Agreed...reserved 2 and was so dissapointed so i left them- and there are only 2 of us in our house! You can get a much bigger one in asda (not a george but just as good) for a few pound more.

Thanks for posting the offer though OP

Picked mine up this morning, ok its not the biggest in the world, but for a tenner, its not bad. There's only two of us, so it will be ok

I've got a baby George which is the smallest but adequate for me. The key to cleaning them is to do so when the plates are still hot but very very carefully with an oven glove although I now will try the method suggested earlier on this thread . I think removable hotplates would be really helpful as some other models have - but as it is relatively small if it's gets really mucky I just bring it over to the sink and give it a good clean with a non stick scourer - of course you mustn't immerse it but I can get plenty of water with some washing up liquid on the plates then for a good rinse.

Just been to collect my reserved one from Malton, N. Yorks.
They are selling them at that price to all and sundry, not just savvy MSE'rs.

Chap said they are selling like mad at the moment.

Haven't checked the size but can't complain for a tenner.
We don't do a lot of grilling - mainly bacon sarnies at weekend and the occasional burger or chop.

If we get the grilling bug then we will consider a bigger one.
