How long for Barclaycard BT?

Well the application process for the Brclaycard Platinum card was certainly very quick, approved within a minute of submission and told the balance transfers were being handled - but the question is how long does it really take from submitting the application for the transfer to take place?

Mine took over 2 weeks from the moment i got the card. I was told by the rep that it takes a minimum of 8 days to transfer a balance. The transfers happened on the last day of 8 working day and had to wait another 3 working day for the transfers show on the destination credit cards.

blimey - just got email confirmation of the successful application (even though the website said it was approved 5 days ago) and with a credit limit of £10000! I cant believe they are still chucking money out that easily! Its getting on for 3 times the amount I wanted to balance transfer so expected a limit of say 5k at the most. I do have a good credit rating but I am still a bit shocked at what they have given me straight away - still, means I can juggle the figures and perhaps spend a little more and BT that too within the first 60 days :D

Well the onus is upon yourself to only use what you need and leave the rest rather than rack up unwanted debt.

I was also given a 10k limit but only needed 7k - I must say the remaining 3k was tempting . but thank God for this site . I am much more disciplined now
