Hi all savers!! Ok am thrilled to have reached £300 first time saver and boy has it come in handy! Had to delve into it last week, been off ill, sinus surgery due next week and no wages as s/employed still have £150 left but really REALLY pleased it was there to fall back on. Gutted i didnt make it to dec 1st BUT after this years saving I am definitely doing this again. I have become quite protective over my tin! Congratulations on all who save, will read up whilst recovering and then will plan next yrs tin and get excited to start again! Thankyou so much for support when I have posted its such a fab thing to do ;-)Life happens when you are busy making other plans

Hi everyone and well done to all who have given their totals :j:j
Well back from my weekend in Chester with mum. Great day shopping on Sat and even managed to get an evening dress for hubby's Christmas do on 23rd Dec.;)
We got to the hotel and on the way managed to book an evening meal at the pub we had been recommended down the road from the hotel. We got into the room to see a huge bouquet and box of chocolates waiting for us:D:D:D:D:D
Mum hadn;t realised that this had been included in the room deal. There was I thinking that my dad was being all romantic, bless him:rotfl::rotfl:.
When i looked at the key card it said DBB so I said to mum is that double bed and breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast??? She didn;t know so off I trotted to reception and low and behold it was dinner included.:T:T:T:T:T:T
The night just got better and better. After a fantastic 3 course meal and bottle of wine it was also the first party night of the hotel Christmas season and disco was included:beer:
It was great having some quality time with mum and what a lovely surprise too.
Stopped off at Cheshire Oaks designer outlet for a few more prezzies on the way home.
Am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited about opening my pot.
Mum gave me a load of moneybags as we are charity fundraisers for Marie Curie Cancer Care so have to bank money from charity events that we have organised and been involved with.
Managed to pot £1.25 tonight. Found a very lonely 25p on the side so thought it need a few friends to play with and in the pot it went.:rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to say that I did ask reception to ring the pub and cancel the booking for the meal. Well being new to money saving I didn;t want them to lose any business did I.[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

Hi
Can I please be added, have been lurking on here for a while and have 2 full pots and one half full pot which i am determined to fill before christmas week, so that my OH can go a bit mad on the shopping (37 for christmas dinner!)
Congratulations to everyone on here who has made such an awesome amount so far, and good luck to everyone who is still cramming in the extra pennies. I'll be taking mine to my local natwest (has a coin counter, doesnt charge either!)

£3.50 in the pot today. Had to break a £20 note and it gave me my change in £1's (19 of them!), which is perfect as it's the school Christmas fair on Friday, so I can give the kids a few pounds each to spend rather than a fiver each! LOL! And the rest of it went into the pot.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0
