Ocada/Waitrose Deals

we have got ocado pass membership.They send us 50% off voucher codes regularly for certain products(150 items aprox). it could be bargain,If those are already on offer.I love ocado,fantastic CS and quality products on TESCO prices.

I love Ocado as well, but its very limited whats price checked to Tesco's.

The ocado own brand has been getting worse of late, but the Waitrose own brand items are excellent as you'd expect!

I did an online shop at Ocado today and it came to £121 which is for stuff which should last us several weeks. I then input the same items into Asda and the price was £113 but it wasn't all like for like - I couldn't get padron peppers in Asda, nor could I get 4 grain porridge so I didn't include them in the Asda "order". I find that My Supermarket is not so good for comparison as alot of items show as N/a in other supermarkets.

I love Ocado - fantastic customer service, prices which are good (if you spend a bit of time on the site rooting them out!) and I only pay £3.99 a month for deliveries. As I get my deliveries on a Saturday then that is a saving against Tesco or Asda too.

The essential Waitrose stuff is really nice quality and the Ocado meat is lovely.

Hmmmm, not knocking Ocado & I do believe quality & service is very good, but don't fool yourself, Tesco Price match claim doesn't mean you are buying at Tesco prices. Firstly they only price match branded goods, never own label. They also only price match at Tesco's standard prices. So for example, if Tesco are selling Finish tablets at £6.49 instead of their usual £12.99, Ocado will be price matching the £12.99 price. They do not match the offers, which incidentally come around in Tesco's often enough to keep you stocked up at the lower prices.

I generally buy own label, only buying a few branded goods regularly, & these only when on offer. (Nescafe Cappuccino is one example, but I do use own label coffee in general and they won't match Waitrose coffee with Tesco's.)

Other items too are much more expensive & I wouldn't necessarily say Ocado's quality is better. Tesco's finest beef strogonoff (40% beef) at £3.90 compared with Waitrose beef strogonoff (30% beef), same additional ingredients, at £7.99 for the same weight is just one example I looked at.

Not a lot of people know that.
