returning unused electrical item to tesco store

I bought a blu ray player - checked box for stuff I wanted to know about but found it didn't give me the info I wanted on connections. Got home and saw it din't have the connections I wanted (optical) didn't fancy it for sound quality and have read reviews since that it is not good for sound. Not sure on how to go about this - what do I say and what are my rights when taking it back to Tesco (I have bought it in last week)?

just take it back and say you have changed your mind - they accept that anyway dont they?0

It will be accepted under their change of mind policy if the item is returned in the exact same condition it left the store in, if you have the box, all the packaging and the reciept you will be fine.0
