Halifax- Lost passbook

Hi,
I had a halifax save4it account (Never upgraded :o ) and I havent touched it for ages ! as I always use my natwest account.

I know I still have money in there (not alot) and when I came to dig out for my passbook.. I cant find it anywhere..Ive looked for it the past week and spent ages.

If I report it lost are there any charges ect  I know what halifax is like.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Mitch ;)

For a save 4 it account, you must take in ID. They do not re-issue a new book, a new account will be opened for you and the funds transferred over. That's what happened when i lost my daughter's book
    Overdraft - £1,300 5%
    Overdraft - £3000 5%
    Halifax C/C - £3,200 0% 08/07
    Virgin C/C - £1,500 0% 06/07
    Mortgage - £61,214.68 overpaid £700
    Olymic Challenge - £597.24
  • Yes because they can't put a stop on an individual book - like they can with card as no issue numbers

so account will be closed and new one open, as long as you can provide identification
  • Thank you ! :)
