Re-arranged concert refund advice

Options
I think I have lost £120 here but has anyone got any suggestions on how to get some money back.

My friend ordered us tickets to see the Kings of Leon back in December last year at the O2 arena. Unfortunately the concert was cancelled due to a bus catching fire.

The concert was then re-arranged to last Monday (20/6/2011). On Monday I did a google on the concert to see which support bands they had. To my horror I found a message on the O2 arena web site saying the concert had been re-arranged to the 1st of June - i.e. we had missed it.

I contacted seetickets whom we got the tickets from and apparently they sent an email in April. Unfortunately my friend did not see this email.

We had also booked parking at the O2, but they too won't give a refund because the parking was booked for the event and hence moved with the event. The car park did not contact us as apparently this was the responsibility of the ticket agents.

Is an email good enough notification of a change to event time. Especially when so much email is received from seetickets advertising other events. Should they not have written to us?

Also should the car park have contacted us, given that the parking is booked by event? the parking was booked directly via the O2 web site and not via seetickets.

any ideas?
