I have had vareious Lexmark, where the ink has been very
expensive, Brother printer has a mind of its own, just will not print.
Not looking for any thing fancy, it should just print.
thyanks in anticipation.

We just bought a Canon from Jessops, Wi-fi compatible with scanner, pretty big but prints nice.
For £40, head to Currys, they have a HP printer, scanner + copier with Wi-Fi compatibility, and it's feels well built.0 -
Thank you, I do not have a 'thank you button to click'
I will go to currys tomorrow but they will try and sell me just any thing, that is why I need to sound knowledgeble.
thanks again

Out of interest what model is your Brother printer Sebastian?0

You can pop in to Currys to ask anything about it then go to Dixons as it is slightly cheaper

Or if you can wait for delivery, it is slightly cheaper again from Amazon, though their pricing can be volatile as it tends to move with demand for an item

One thing to mention is cartridge cost with genuine sets at approximately £39 for XL capacity
Compatibles are around £24 for a large capacity set
Or a refill by post option at £16 a set, though that would probably be for the standard size if you send them the ones which come with the printer
An Epson will be in the region of £70 but compatible sets are available at around £4:25 a set0 -
rightguard, it is brother 235c.
Santer, Thank you, I do not have a 'thank you button to click'
So if I get an Epson the cartridges will be cheaper? On ebay some of the Epson are cheaper.

If you can get the printer cheaper on ebay, that's fine, not so sure about the inks as I haven't used any from there, though am considering Rextras as they have 19ml of ink, a third more than most compatibles and are a similar cost with free delivery
These will work with the SX415 and SX515W, which Epson say is £60 but they are out of stock, worth asking if they will let you know, also they say the 515W is £100 RRP but amazon say £150
