Charged for failed withdrawal abroad

I went to Thailand earlier this year. Whilst there I made one successful withdrawal from a cash machine with my Halifax credit card and after that each time i tried, the transaction failed - i assumed this was because i hadn't told halifax that i was going abroad.

On return home my credit card statement showed 2 withdrawals. The transaction details for the incorrect one is 'Kasikornbank PU'. I challenged the transaction with halifax and I have a letter saying that the bank has confirmed that the withdrawal was valid and that the ATM balanced - they included some print outs from the other bank. I definitely did not receive this money.

The halifax letter states 'this now finishes my investigations and I cannot help any further' so they don't seem to be giving me any option to challenge this further.:( Does anyone have any advice on this situation - is there anything that I can do now? Thanks very much in advance!
