Vent!! Lipsy "lack of" customer service!

Options
I am so angry!! I bought an expensive Lipsy dress in May for 55.00, I have worn it 4 times and weekend before last all the stiching down on side came undone (The dress was 1 size too big as well, so it wasnt like I was busting it). I couldnt find the receipt but took it back to Victoria Centre store in Nottingham armed with my bank statement. They did not have the dress in stock which didnt suprise me as it was the last one when I bought it. They rang Derby and Leicester who also didnt have it so suggested I order it online and gave me a return card to use. When I tried to oder it online I got a message saying that you couldnt use returns cards online. 8am I ring Customer Services, who advise me the only thing to do is order the dress again online and pay using my bank card, then ring up and they can reduce the voucher and refund onto my bank card. I did this and dress arrived today. I have just rang customer services who now say this isn't possible... So I am stuck with a 55.00 credit voucher and a further 55.00 gone out my bank account! I certainly won't be buying anything else from LIPSY, This is the 2nd dress that had fell apart, I blamed the style of the other one originally. The customer service girl said they are 2 seperate Companies but they are both owned by Next????
Do any of the staff at Lipsy actually know what they are doing???

sounds like you got one that does; they just managed to sell you another dress without even trying

On a slightly different note - I really dislike the lipsy store in the Victoria :( I find the staff really rude and unapproachable, and there more interested in talking about whose going out with who than help their customers.
They do have some very pretty dresses - but for the money they cost are fairly shocking quality.

yes I have found this too, it's a pretty bad atmosphere in there, almost as if they don't even want you to come in!

OP that is shocking, I'd ask for the supervisor or whoever is highest there. Ask if the calls were recorded, and if you can remember the rough time you rang up, but that you were definetly told this and it's costing you time and effort to sort out an issue which was entirely caused by them.

I'd wrap the one that was torn and send it back as if it was the one you had just bought. Tell them you'd worn it once and it had split. Keep the good one.

Lipsy staff look down on you; I had one of them walk into where I work today and she was looking at me like something she'd trodden on. They're generally really rude and unapproachable, and I'm talking about experience of more than one branch.

What the manager probably meant was that Lipsy, although owned by Next PLC, are seperate companies which is correct.

In the same way Next Directory and Next are seperately run companies.

In the same way that Argos and Homebase are run seperately
