Update on Vendor Divorce Issues

Well, after 6 odd weeks of promising to instruct his solicitors he is finally being a little more truthful. He has no intention of instructing his solicitor as he thinks he can still afford to buy it.

His Solicitor still insists he can't afford it but until the divorce settlement is agreed he can't prove it..... and he can't start negotiating the divorce settlement until he submits his accounts (self employed) and his Accountant is for some reason refusing to do them!! AAAARGH

I just want to cry. My husband is currently trying to get contact details for this blokes soon to be ex wife to see what her views are.

On my last post, many people had sympathy for him, but in all honestly I have zilch now. He never had any intention of selling and let us pay for valuation and full structural survey. In fact he lied to our faces as on our second viewing he explained that he could move at our pace as he wanted to buy at auction in Wales (very detailed explanation!).

This is the second sale to fall through after we had incurred all the costs!

:(:(:(:(:(

I didn't have sympathy for him in your last thread, and I still don't. He may have acted legally, but entirely unethically and there is absolutely no excuse for that. His problems were not yours until he made them so through dishonesty.

So sorry you are having to go through this :(

I hate to say it, but I can see this getting worse rather than better.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I agree. Totally pointless to hang on. Just go and look for somewhere else. This one might become properly for sale at some time in the future, but it isn't right now and that's unlikely to change for ages.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I'd start looking for something else, but for the time being I'd keep schtum about it. Let them think you're still proceeding. That way if anything does change, you're still in pole position.

Make a decision when you find somewhere else and can agree on a suitable price.
