Halifax PPI claim

Hi all, I recently sent off the letter template to reclaim PPI on a loan I have with the Halifax. They acknowledged the claim and 8 weeks later sent me another letter saying that due to the recent court appeal attempt all claims had been on hold. They are now looking at them again but said that due to the that delay the 8 week time scale is not applicable. The letter was vague so dunno if that means another 8 weeks before I can proceed if I don't hear anything? Just wondered of any of you knowledgeable people can shed any light?
