Decided to take a stand against the 'Big 6' and their confusing tariffs...
....and will be switching to Co-operative Energy.
Not the cheapest, but at least I can understand what the heck I am buying and they do not have any exit fees if I decide to leave at some point.
They also don't make things cheaper for new customers than for existing customers.
Sick of being treated like an idiot (Scottish Power, I'm looking at you), so I'm doing something about it.
There, i feel better now

just had a look at them, could be cheaper for me0

You could also take a stand by considering Ebico.
If you are a low user it may be cheaper as they don't have a standing charge (£63 per year each for Gas and Electricity with Coop)0 -
Looked at Ebico but we are medium to high users so they are very expensive for us.0

Right, still taking a stand
However, have gone with Ovo instead of Co-op, they were cheaper and the price is fixed for 12 months.
Take that 'Big 6' !0 -
You do realise that it is exactly the same gas and electricity that you and your neighbours get that comes into your house no matter who supplies it?0

You're kidding me?
I thought all suppliers had individual pipes and wires coming into my house. They all have a dedicated generator and gas supply just for me though, right?
I don't think I'll sleep now knowing my neighbours lights shine as brightly as mine and their hobs get just as hot.....
At least tell me the gas in my house has a more perfumed smell....please, give me something to hold on to......0 -

If you have signed up to the green tariff with Ovo your gas will burn with a green flame.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
It's the 15% green tariff so only 15% of my gas will burn green0

Is that 1 out of every 15 flames on your gas cooker? that will look awesome!
(although I think mine burnt green when I spilt curry on the hob)
If its a mix then maybe it will just change the shade of blue..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
