BT Haggle Down Success

I have been with BT for years here in rural Mid-Wales for both Phone and broadband since there isnt many other options due to no other third party with their equipment within the local BT exchange.
But, I haggle with them each year to get the best deal with the latest equipment.
Last year i went for the top Option 3 (unlimited - 100Gb Cap) Broadband and Any-time Calls, plus to throw in a Free BT Vision Box and a brand new Hub 2. The Charges were £41 per month in total (including Line rental).... No other company could offer any better at the time.
This year i haggled again as my contract was up, I have the same option 3 & Any-time calls plus the new Hub 3 (No new BT Vision Box though...not that i used the last one anyway as on Sky) all for £28 per month, including Line rental! Bargain!
I had one complaint as i was first quoted just £20 per month but this was a mistake on their behalf since the paperwork that came through the post DIDNT mention Line-rental!
So, a few tips..... Be Pleasant to them, ask for a deal as you would like to stay with them....ask their name and department.....and last but not least...GET WRITTEN CONFIRMATION of the deal.
