I don't recognise that particular type of dalek composter. Is it worth looking around the site to see whether anyone else has similar ones, and asking where they got them from?
I suspect you may be unlucky on the purchase front and have to design something which does the trick. Many large compost bins are open to the elements, with only a piece of carpet etc as a lid.0 -
Can you buy a round plastic dustbin lid?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Not sure if it would fit but that is a good idea if i can
Will take tape measure when i go tomorrow and then will start looking properly.
Just a shame to have them just sit there when i could try recycle them.0 -

I don't think you need to buy anything at all to be honest. I know having a lid would make it look nicer, but I agree with Yorkie1, a piece of old carpet would suffice.0

Hi, I think that this type of bin is produced by 'Milko'. Hard to tell for sure without seeing the opening at the front, but they look very similar to ones I have. The lids would have had adjustible vent openings, and if you had the bases that go with them too, those look a bit like a funnel, again with vents.
There is a picture in the following link, the middle one near the bottom of the page.
oops, cant post link, so use the following without the spaces
www. zero-2-land. ndo.co.uk /compostors.htm
You can buy these from this site, but not replacement parts, but you may have more luck with a bit more time to search.
In the mean time, as other posters suggest - a make-do lid of old carpet or old kitchen cabinet door with a brick on top should do the trick. If you have a piece of old wood or piece of slab to prop against the front opening should keep material in and larger pests out.0
