New Home owner please help!
Hello! I am very sorry if I am posting this somewhere I shouldn't. I am new to the forums here but keen to try and get some help. I have just bought my first flat and due to move in a move. Unfortunately however the flat is empty so there are no old bills for Gas and ELectricity to use for comparison. I know they used scittosh gas and power and I am aware of the recent massive hikes so want to change that before I move in. it is a two bedroom flat in GLasgowwith 2 of us living in it and it is not old style with overly large ceilings. I am lost afrer looking at the fixed/capped/online tarrifs so would just love some opinions. what kind of tarrifs should I be going for in my situation?
Any help would be much appreciated!

If you go onto the energy comparison sites there is generally an option to say that you don't know your energy usage. If you tick this, it asks you a few questions about the house type & the people to be living in it, and provides an estimated usage based on your answers - from which the comparisons can be made. You can then play around a bit with the figures, compare them to yours or e.g. friends with similar houses, to get an idea of which companies might be best.
As for which type of tariff, that is dependent in part on your attitude to risk and whether you can afford for prices to rise.0
