  • I just tried to enter that £5 code and it comes up as invalid!

I think cd-wow have just twigged.....
Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.
  • What's to stop cd-wow from asking for goods back or payment for the vouchers that have been re-used? They would have a record of vouchers that have been re-used 3 times per day surely. Just a thought....
And anybody using them will have got an email receipt showing the amount to be paid.

By debiting a card they will have created a contract at a defined cost.

They'll just put this down to experience and make sure that they don't have this sort of loophole again.

People ordered bubble bath after an error from Avon who debited the card so creating a contract at a defined cost but people didnt receive the bubble bath?! Hope you're right
  • How about 'I may have ordered them but I never received them'???

CD-WOW would then owe you money, as they don't send them via 'sign-for' post.

Oh dear, talk about taking the p***! CD Wow are a great company and although we are making use of their vouchers like this, it's another thing altogether to pretend you've never received the CD they sent you. It probably amounts to fraud.
Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!
  • It was tongue in cheek, so get off your moral high horse.

I think this thread should be closed now. just full of people asking for codes
    Come on you Irons
  • but CD wow will cancel your order and have every right to do if you are breaking their terms and conditions of the contract, i have a feeling that they will have something to cover them in the terms and conditions so if they find out then i would expect your orders to be refunded, they may also stop you ordering with them if they think that you place a high amount of fraudulent orders.
    just at a guess

Fair enough if they cancel the orders before dispatch but I'm afraid once I take receipt I consider the item to be mine. They can't make you give them back ! I wouldn't consider my orders to be fraudulant. The email I received wit hthe voucher doesn't give any expiry date or any mention of how many times it can be used. Ok, if they want to ban me then that's fine, I'll just get someone else to buy for me.

Ps. Really not trying to sound arrogant...
