Electricity only in the flat, - what heating system?

I'm considering buying a flat which does not allow gas into the building.

At the moment there is a warm air system present in the flat, - which, to my mind would probably blow dust around the flat.. - I have asthma so am thinking of getting rid of it.

I have read about clean-air systems which clean the air before blowing it around the flat, still not sure if i'm convinced.

Electric heaters, for some reason, always look ugly! I guess I could put a surround around it to hide it, - but then that will take up space which I could overwise use....

Underfloor heating sounds like a fantastic idea... - but very expensive!

Any suggestions???
