Wow, it would be great to replace all my too small (but keeping until I lose weight) stuff with good quality new clothes that actually fit. I would probably go to M&s and Debenhams as they sell shorter length pull on trousers that I love.
I mostly live in trousers so would love to have full length and cropped in black, brown, grey, navy, khaki and taupe with a good selection of tops and cardigans. If the fire miraculously caused me to lose weight then a few brighter colours would be nice.
One or two skirts and dresses would suffice.
Underwear would have to be Sloggi - comfort comes before sexy for me as no-one sees them anyway.
Nightwear - a couple of very thin nighties (menopausal) and some jersey PJs for sofa lounging in the evening.
Coats - a warm winter coat, a long smart mac and casual 3/4 length lightweight hooded coat plus one good jacket for interviews etc. A zip front hooded jersey jacket would be nice, maybe parka style to cover belly and bum.
The longer I spend thinking about this the more I am thinking of that I would want. I would seriously hate to think what it would really cost to buy all this is one go.0 -
If I got a huge payment to spend solely on replacing the value of clothes I have up there now (bearing in mind that 6 months ago I moved house, so halved what I had);
Every single item of lingerie would be silk, satin, lace, all fitted at Rigby & Peller. Even now, all my undies come as matching sets with bras. Then there would be the garments that give nature a bit of a helping hand/gild the lily - and can be quite entertaining if you have company
Silk stockings.
Silk socks.
Silk slips.
Tailored trousers - 5 pairs - bespoke tailoring, wool, tweed, flannel, linen.
Jeans - 5 pairs.
Tailored shirts - 1 black, 1 white.
Cashmere polo necks.
Cashmere longline cardigan.
Black tapeknit jumper.
Selection of good quality T shirts.
3 good quality tops.
15 pairs of incredibly comfortable, made to measure, shoes, boots and sandals. Plus 5 pairs of trainers.
My long cashmere winter coat.
My short length mac.
A casual jacket. I've got one that's kind of military-ish, goes well with jeans.
Belts.
Hats. Lots of hats. I like hats.
Scarves.
Gloves. Lots of gloves. I hate cold hands.
I think that's it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Got to be my Uggs too. I now own 3 pairs of the Button variety and have only just stopped wearing them.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
