  • The thing that !!!!ed me off about eBuyer was the following:

    - The sale wasn't 'fair'
How can it be fair when you announce it on a public forum? Why not send an email to all those that had failed pre-orders first and say they are reserved for you for a few hours?
There was one person who posted on the eBuyer forum stating she had a failed pre-order and it still would not be fullfilled even though this new stock has come in. Her post got deleted :(

If its supposed to be the first 55 customers, why not reduce stock as these people add it into their basket and not on checkout - which seemed to take an age.

    Shoddy publicity stunt IMO.

Feel for those people that had pre-orders that couldnt be fullfilled and have been dumped on !! GREAT customer service eh! Wonder how many new customers they can send junk e-mails to now they have got 100's of people to sign up for an account!

    Pathetic!

What for complaining about a company that was claiming it was doing it for their loyal customer base, when clearly they weren't. Would get more credit if this wasn't claimed.

What was noticed that the original stock level was 70, and was mentioned that Pre-Sale orders were being filled first.

That person that complained on the forum should of really contacted eBuyer as soon as the offer was banded about. She may have been able to get one secured prior to the 3.55 release?

    Just a thought?

missus ordered one, got into the checkout then ebuyer crashed, upon refresh it was gone from my basket and then they sold out! NOT HAPPY!

    EBUYER SUCK!

Maybe she was at work, picking the kids up from school, doing some shopping etc when the announcement was made. Can't live by a PC 24 hours a day refreshing the screen. Plus I can't see there only being 15 outstanding pre-orders on their books.

I just think the whole thing could and should have been handled differently if they were doing it for their customers etc.

If they were out to just sell them all and not get their name banded around then don't claim its for their customers.

Hell, they posted the information on a public forum, and not even in an area where you had to be registered :rotfl:
  • It's the same with Game (poet, didn't know it etc...) - they're happily dribbling supplies out to all their shops while people who pre-ordered online are still scratching their butts waiting for theirs to turn up at the doorstep and getting emails saying "no stock until after christmas".

Wouldn't have anything to do with them selling them as bundles instore and thus making loads extra on each sale at all....

Only a cynic would suggest such a thing

And Toys R Us paid for an advert in the Daily Mirror (also in the public eye), but I don't see them getting s....ed off by anyone.

If you want to blame anyone, blame those that felt they had to share the news outside of the eBuyer forums. If they decided to keep quiet then maybe some of the regulars on there would of had stood a better chance.

Wonder how many will now end up on eBay because of the above?
