Is there any way I can download ITV Player programme to hard drive

We have a very slow internet connection here and get internet speeds of between 0.2 MBPS and 0.3 MBPS. If watching a programme on ITV Player, I have to pause it for 3 minutes then watch the programme for just over a minute, pause again for 3 minutes and so on.

Is there any programme that will download and record from the ITV Player website. Some kind poster on here previously told me about GetiPlayer Automator and that works fine for BBC. i just need something to do the same for ITV Programmes from time to time.

Yes I had that in the UK but am now living in SE Asia and access the ITV Player site through a VPN, so unfortunately no SKY+ out this way.

Missing the old British Telly now, best we can get is a few channels showing 3 year and older films out here....

I just checked out the GetFLV site and it only works with Windows.

Does anybody know of a similar programme that works with Mac OSX10.6?

I will try that one shortly, but I did see a comment lower down the page that it will not work with streaming FLV content.

If not I can just dust off my old Windows machine and use that for the occasional ITV Download...

If you're trying to grab Flash video, the Firefox add-on VideoDownloadHelper will enable you to download the stream as a file. You can combine it with the DownloadThemAll download manager which will open several connections to the site to speed up the download (and maybe enable you to pause/resume downloading if the server supports it).

Thanks esuhl, i already had one download helper installed with Firefox but it does not work with ITV Player, but I'll check out this combination you mentioned.
