    what is the mince like please??? always wary when its cheap as find its full of water/grease.

    It's quite high in fat content, off the top of my head around 26%.
    I only buy the lean steak mince when half price.

    Perfect for home made burgers - you want a higher fat content.

    You really can't go wrong at £2 a kilo of mince!!

    I would be making the effort but unfortunately with Lidl I am convinced that many of these "bargains" are just a ploy to get people into the shops.

    I have wasted at least 3 Saturday mornings hoping for these "great offers". Have basically been the first person there and all those times they never had the advertised offers and the only thing they have offered me is lame excuses.

    Maybe our local store (s) just don't get the stock...

    Strange one, no problems at either of the stores I use - as long as I'm there early for the most popular meat offers.
    The stores usually open at 8am and I'm sometimes there around 9am for the good offers - no problems so far.

    Oh I just looked and my nearest Lidl is more than 10 miles away... doesnt make it such a bargain for me :-(
