Hi,

I recently finished a debt management program (6 Months ago) and am now debt free, but have just gone on an notice I have 4 defaults attached to my history, 3 from one bank and 1 from another. they are satisfied or settled.

Is there anyway i can get them removed, letters or anything that can change them?

my credit score is getting worse even though I only owe £150 on credit cards (which were being used to try and increase the score) I always pay more than Min and don't understand it.

Can anyone help?

cheers

Nat

No chance whatsoever my friend, they will be there for 6 years.

The only way defaults are ever removed is if the creditors have made major mistakes in the administration.

    Sorry, youre stuck with them.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Firstly well done on getting yourself sorted.

But the answer is no, your credit files reflect your history of the past 6 years.

Fair enough they are shown as settled, but ultimately you have defaulted on these accounts by having to enter a DMP, therefore it is correct to show them as defaults, you'll probably lucky that they are actually shown as settled.

They has to be some disadvantage to those entering on a DMP and paying less than someone who meets their financial repayments in full.
