Asus's are one of the best consumer laptops (and come with a 24 month guarentee)0

That looks like a good price to me for the spec.

EDIT: Or this one with a 500GB disk for £300. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ASUS_K52F-EX426_1008169.htmlIf you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Or this X52F for £300 (sorry haven't compared specs) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/253582
EDIT: only 2GB RAM. Could add 2GB for approx £20 though. Descisions, decisions...
Apart from the memory its the same laptop. You could assume the Ebuyer one has a 2GB stick in it. When you get it run the Crucial memory checker and buy either

or

for £15.69 (not sure about P&P)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -

1. check its only got 1 x2GB stick in it (95% sure !?)
2. you should be able to work out (Crucial memory checker or CPU-Z) will tell you what spec the current memory is (best to get exactly matching memory)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0
